The KörberHaus should be a place for all people. We would like to welcome you and make your stay in our house as pleasant as possible.

We have put together some tips on accessibility for you.

Mobility

  • Both entrances are at ground level and stair-free
  • Lifts are located near both entrances. If you have a wheelchair, rollator or buggy – you can easily reach all floors of the building
  • Seating is available on all floors of the building
  • Wheelchair toilets
  • Baby changing rooms
  • Up to six wheelchair and companion spaces in the theatre, accessible without steps. Please register in advance with the organiser.
  • Handrail on the stairs and in the theatre

Seeing

  • Tactile guidance system
  • Assistance dogs may be brought along

Listening

Theatre performances in the Lichtwark Theatre can be amplified by an induction loop. Please register in advance at the reception desk at abo-service@theater-bergedorf.de so that we can provide you with a receiver in good time.

In addition, hearing amplification via headphones can be provided for events in the Lichtwark Theatre, Körber Hall and the rooms on the 1st floor. A QR code is scanned for this purpose. You can find the instructions for using the hearing aid here:

We are working on further developing hearable and understandable programmes at KörberHaus. On our website, you will find films with subtitles.

Sign language

We will soon be providing further content in German sign language on our website. You can find a first film here. More in sign language will follow.
